Reading the Nepali calendar
Each day shows the Nepali (BS) date in large numbers and the English (AD) date in the corner. The week starts on Sunday (आइतबार), and Saturday (शनिबार), Nepal's weekly holiday, is shown in red. Today is highlighted.
The twelve Nepali months are Baisakh, Jestha, Asar, Shrawan, Bhadra, Ashwin, Kartik, Mangsir, Poush, Magh, Falgun and Chaitra. A Nepali month always overlaps two English months: Baisakh starts in mid-April and Chaitra ends in mid-April of the next year.
